Due to the high configurability of marketplaces, we can envision many different use-cases for Brick Protocol. They can be divided into three types of marketplaces: Permissionless, permissioned and private. And three types of products: one-time purchases, consumables and subscriptions.

Here's some ideas for illustration:

Promotions & Cashback

Launching a new marketplace can be hard. Luckily, you can "pay up for launch" by simply giving people money for using your product.

Secondary Markets

Brick allows you to configure your cNFT payment receipts to be either transferable or not. This allows marketplace creators to enable secondary markets, if they wish to do so. You can treat your cNFT receipts like actual NFTs and trade them on any other NFT marketplace.

There are two cases here:

  • cNFTs: Depends on the configuration of the merkle tree, primarily with the canopy property which affects the compossability of the tokens.

  • Fungible tokens: You have the ability to create non-transferable tokens.

Brick helps you realize this with , built into its Solana program, in which you can charge up the Reward account with SPL tokens of your choosing and distribute them to buyers and sellers during purchases.

We had some less conventional ideas, too.
